In June 2016, Panasonic released the Toughbook CF-20 LTE tablet. The tablet has a 10.10-inch display with a 1920x1200 pixel resolution. A 1.1GHz one-core Intel Core m5 vPro CPU powers the Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 LTE. It has a total of 8GB of RAM. The Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 LTE is powered by a 2600mAh replaceable battery and runs Windows 10 Pro.
A cursory look around the laptop shows neatly labeled access panels, each of which conceals the necessary ports and connectors. The panels swing open to show the port when they are slid back slightly. All of the doors are removable and fastened with a simple Philips head screw, which field technicians will enjoy. In reality, every screw keeping this thing together has a Philips head, as can be seen on the front and back of the devices. This is a significant benefit for field repairing the Panasonic CF-20 since it eliminates the need for frenzied searches for a unique Torx bit or a micro-sized hex bit.
In terms of cameras, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 LTE has an 8-megapixel camera on the back. It has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Because the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-anticipated G1's conditions and uses are anything but usual, evaluating how it would function in typical scenarios is challenging. When the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 is turned on, it will launch a single custom-built app that will run continuously throughout the day as part of a workflow.
We had to make due mostly by playing games because none of the Notebook Review team members work for UPS or serve in the National Guard. Candy Smash, albeit dated at this point, simulates the normal point-and-swipe movements that a bespoke app would have the user make all day, and we were able to crush a few levels during our "testing period."
The Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 display is a 10.1-inch full HD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. With a pixel-per-inch count of 224, such a high resolution on such a little panel results in a highly crisp and clear image. This is only a smidgeon more than the 15-inch MacBook Pro's famous Retina display. Panasonic promises an ultra-bright 800 nit display, which we found to be sufficient for its stated purpose of use in direct sunlight. The touch screen supports ten-point multitouch and has the added benefit of being able to be used while wearing gloves.
The tablet release latch is located on the laptops inside.
It can also be locked to prevent unintentional release. The clasp, in keeping
with the Toughbook tradition, appears to be quite tight when secured, with
little wiggle or play. The latch's hardness works both ways since it takes a
lot of force to get the tablet back into its slot. During testing, the tablet
would appear to be secure, but any attempt to move it would result in the
screen falling out. A firm smack on the top edge proved to be the most
effective means of securing the tablet.
